I dont see whats wrong with it, if the Breaking News strap was yellow and the newswall animation it would look fine. Red is used for generic topic straps and this is a diffrent colour, and I really like it, the 'fins' can easily turn yellow as the newswall.

I know its not quite like the new american style font, but why cant the newswall breaking news graphic be like that? Along with the main aston?

Just needs tweaking, thats all.

Why not invert it then? A huge putrid yellow screen with scrolling black text on it. Dear God, that would look awful.

So it would be absolutely perfect for the new look Sky News.

The words breaking news scrolling around is actually such an eye-sore I think

Globe go red, the words breaking news come on, and possibly scroll along the bottom and top of the newswall, so if presenters are standing it is visible, but not when sitting.

Well hold on…you could have some fairly fancy graphics, which to be fair, Sky News have had before, but it doesn’t necessarily make the news very accessible. These graphics are clearly aimed at pub crowds and those who are flicking through the channels. It’s not pretty, it’s practical!

They may not be as pretty as the last graphics, but they’re certainly easier to read. Those who compare them to Fox News are just plain wrong. Fox News graphics are so far the other way with hideous animations etc.

I am warming to them, there no way that bad. I admit the lining up is terrible, when the weather box was on this morning, there was a black line to the left of it, and the white name strap went over it at the top half but at the bottom half could be seen fully.
I do actually like the spin effect on the straps, not too overboard.
If the ticker was smaller and the tower didnt spin, the graphics arn't that bad.

I agree - I quite liked the last lot of graphics. I don't see why they don't just go back to them - at least they looked half decent. They could even incorporate the yellow breaking ticker if they wanted to.
