Not seen it on screen yet - I guess the change tonight, rather than tomorrow, would probably be due to the Oscars.


From the caps though it looks pretty hideous. They might have got away with it if they dropped the clock down on to the ticker and just had the logo above, but really, it's hideous!


And surprised no one has started a "Who's died?" thread with the black ticker in play. The one thing I do like though from the caps is the breaking news ticker.

I think the ticker should go back to non caps, and should have a nice glossy finish over it which would brighten it up a bit.

Does anyone know when the Sky News titles will change?

in a few weeks/months apparently. Don't know why they didn't do it in 1 go really.

Really annoys me when they do revamps in stages! It's not that long since the TOTH was changed is it?

I am not sure. I stopped watching Sky News for months - after they had the mass cull. I have only been tuning in recently to see why they got the News Channel of the Year award??

The only thing like about the new look is the logo, which looks nicer and sexier than the previous flat logo however the graphics are a cross between the old BBC News 24/World graphics and FOX News which is an awful mix!

Does this mean I have to make my precious precious screensaver look like this incoherent shambles?
I love how the tower just spins back to where it started for absolutely no effect whatsoever.

Well, from what i read almost everyone thinks most of it is awful.
You think if Sky read this they would maybe change the graphics again?

Unlikely maybe, but you never know in an era where Sky urge their virgin media viewers to ''rally'' their supplier in a bid to stop the ditching of sky channels!

It would be great if it did something similar to the CNN logo where it spins from a globe to the words UP NEXT to WORLD NEWS

or for the likes of the only programmes still on sky news such as Lunchtime Live, Sunrise etc it turned from SKY NEWS to SUNRISE etc

To be honest, I don't think that much thought went into the graphics, so I wouldn't hold my breathe for something like that ahha
