The TOTH graphic reminded me of a certain screensaver. The graphics seem rather bulky and generally awful.

I hope you like the changes. They have been designed after we took on board some of the points which you have made on this blog and which other viewers have made in emails to me.
Obviously haven't listened very hard have they!

The long wait is over - the new lower third graphics are here.
They were introduced at 2100 on Sunday, February 25 - in time for the Sky News Sunrise simulcast on Sky One from 0600 on Monday, February 26.
This screen shot is a mock-up specially made by our graphics department so that I could use it as an illustration on this blog.
Breaking News now uses yellow and black.
The logo is a tower and the ticker uses black text.
For the technically or graphically-minded among you, the lower thirds are 11 pixels higher that the old breaking news straps but 17 pixels lower than the 2 line super.
The logo is 89 pixels high.

Actually, I think dislike isn't strong enough a word for the rotating logo. I'm sorry, it is FAR too distracting from what I'm trying to watch and I already hate it.
As I was writing this post they flashed up some Breaking News ...in white on red this time.
I don't like the LIVE indicator either. They are going to have the problems the BBC had with a stacked one like that.
I did actually like the new TOTH countdown, though the names aston was a bit unusual. It was like this:
