Sounds pretty much the same to what Sky Sports News do.

Employees of BSkyB sound pretty pissed off with managmenet dont they.

Yep. It seems to revolve around the Freeview issue. Still can't properly understand it. I know they can potentially make more money out of a subscription service, but surely the number of viewers they are losing can't be right. They used to state they were watched in 80 countries around the world, but soon half the uk viewers won't be watching.

So is the Breaking News strap going to be over the ticker every Breaking News story or just for when theres a report going on or something.
I suspect the ticker will turn yellow, with info running across in the ticker stylee.
New newswall animation I would guess aswell, Yellow newswall, ouch!

Oh for the love of Pete, just because a channel is watched by more viewers DOES NOT MAKE IT BETTER. Kevin Bakhurst needs to get over losing and face up to the facts THEY LOST THE AWARD. I wush he would **** get on with his job and shut the hell up. (in reply to the article above)

I'm sorry but he seems to be impling that there have been lengthy discussions If they were eager to go, surely they would just go?

I reckon it is a bluff, in order to worry people at sky, like "oh you boyfriend came round to mine last night".

The Beeb, may be disappointed, and that is understandable, and yes viewers are important, but higher ratings, wont improve the approach to presenting and reporting the News, which sky has always been superior with, and despite a dip last year in this style, Sky are trying to improve, now they have a new head running things.

Why do I get the impression the e-mail was designed as an internal message, but rather an unofficial public statement.

They're very good, particularly the gradient, but my favourite is the top one.

I really like them Martin, not sure about the blue strap with the yellow ticker, looks a bit busy, but I love the top one. I hope the graphics are like this as they look very slick.
They also remain very small, not like the current with the headline and then above the name strap etc.

Sky News have a new advert ending with the RTS News Channel of the year" caption. I'm sure it is a variation of an old advert.
