This could be a positive move for Sky News.

It's been shown that for news channels to get good reputations, they need to win the daytime, when most people who are in offices, in government, and in the press watch. Look at News 24 - they have (what I consider to be) strong partnerships in the daytime - Simon & Kate (lively and funny), Matthew & Jane (dream team), and Jon and Louise (dream team number two).

Martin is Sky's top presenter after the great JT, and so it makes sense to put him when people watch. Anna Jones is also great. I think the two of them will be just fine.

Am I the only one that cant stand JT? He needs someone with him on Live at 5 to make him a less wooden presenter.

So, when Martin moves to AM next Monday and the new evening line-up starts - does that also mean that the new graphics will start?

No you're not the only one. I can't stand him. His monotone voice and his penchant for reading the autocue and ad-libbing at the same time annoy me. He should go back to being the US correspondent.

I asked that on the blog, and was told no.

Please god, lets have Martin moving around the studio, walking up and down the newswall, and some dynamics to the slot, like he brought us when Sky News Today started.

I see on the SKY TV guide that Anna Botting is moving
to the 10-midnight shift.

I guess it will be someone replacing her and Martin's current shifts then.

Gillian Joseph maybe?

Oh no, hopefully not. Move her to weekends. Why she was ever on before midnight confuses me. I think it should be Paula Middlehurst. Or Faye Barker, Helen Fospero, Emma Crosby, or Lorna Dunkley (This seems quite possible at the moment).

Anna hasn't presented the 10 o'clock news since the Bob Friend days...Pity to break up her partnership with Jeremy. Gillian's presentation of the paper review on her own is quite dull.

Gillian is the most boring presenter ever,she doesn't work well with any of her co anchors and should be put on overnight instead of Lukwesa Burak.
Who will be the male presneter with Anna and will Jeremy be on his own now? I liked them together.

I've a feeling that the post Live at Five slot, plus News at Ten will both be single anchored now...

I have to say tho...ever since they were reunited, Anna and Jeremy didnt seem to be the same as they were before the relaunch.
