Hi I'm new btw
Did anyone notice that Sky News showed the 'exclusive' BBC interview with the friendly fire widow on their interactive last night. Did they buy it from the BBC (it had the BBC reporter asking questions etc.)

It wasn't a BBC Exclusive interview, the widow only granted the interview on the basis that it was shared to all organistations on a pool basis. The BBC were criticised for calling it an exclusive.

I seem to have missed that bit of info, since when are they disappearing from Freeview?
Well Sky have announced a pay scheme on DTT (Freeview) and to do it they use the space currently on Freeview used by Sky News - so Sky News will go. Media Guardian has more

So with Sky News disappearing from Freeview, what will that do for their ratings?
Will Ofcom allow News 24 to have the monopoly?

Regular readers of my blog will know that I told you in the post Wiki-d Whispers that "if you want to know what's really happening at Sky News, read my blog".
I have just been told of some changes which will be taking place so thought it right to share them with you.
Martin Stanford is moving to present Sky News Today from 0900-1200.
In addition, Sunrise will be simulcast on Sky One from 0600-0900 Monday to Friday starting on Monday, February 26.
The content of the 2000-2200 hours will change to give you a full summary of news, sport and weather in 15-minute cycles, similar to the programming on weekend afternoons.

Thanks for that Nicky, an interesting read, and a somewhat worrying one. "Compressing existing space..." Good to see they know about quality vs quantity.. :S
