That Internet report has made my blood boil, Another shut down sites tirade based on an 'internet' suicide.

Sorry had to say that somewhere and I hope that I'm not flamed for it.

Is it possible for someone to upload images of the SNI Studio and titles ?

Must be the international feed. That comes without ticker, time and adverts.

not sure if anyone else has noticed this, or even if it's just done for the sky report that's on now, but i noticed a change in graphics for the astons of studio guests. gone is the tiny strap with the guest/presenter's name on and it's switched back to the larger strap!

the larger strap across the bottom has the title "Who will close down these sites?". where previously the name graphic (ie Fred Bloggs, Samaritans) appeared on a thinner strap above this main one, it's changed now.

now what happens is that the "Who will close down these sites" switched to the smaller strap above and the "Fred Bloggs, Samaritans" appeared on two lines in the main bigger strap.

EDIT: added the above pic to try and explain better! the pic is not a guy from the samaritans, but i just grabbed this image as an example and yes, i know the fonts etc are wrong, but you get the idea. they've dropped the names to the larger strap and shifted the title/info text to the smaller one. at least they have during sky report.

Am I the only one who thinks this revamp is a bit of a damp squib?

Sure, it looks nice in widescreen, and the captions are a lot nicer than before, but it's hardly a revolution in news reporting or journalism.

Don't get me wrong - I do like Sky News - but from everything I've seen today, I doubt audiences are more likely to stick with the channel through the non-breaking-news periods than they were before.

Relaunch - 5/10.

Just seen Rubin in the motorised news desk.

Whilst the announcer says SKY News etc... you see the desk move round to the backing of the blue wire frame globe, which we've all seen before!!!

Since posting, thinking about it doesn't the desk rotate every TOTH?
