Yes, he was being sarcastic. It might as well be The Eamonn Holmes Show.
How about 'Sky News Jet Set'. They can have a plane flying around the globe on the newswall and have a little quiz.
I cant belive they think this is good. Martin, and Kay's slots are great, but Fatty Holmes... by him self, on Sunrise. I dont think so, bring Lorna and Steve Dixon/Greg Milam back!

Isnt this how Sky News Today's TOTHS should be? This is a video from tonights Martin Stanford show, a nice, pacey pan today showing shots of camera and crew, all adds to the pace... and do I see people in the newsroom?!

Yes it was a nice shot of the studio, but is that Anna Botting picking something in the left corner?

Interesting to watch the way Oz has adapted the graphics set. That breaking news strap is big bold and attracts you to the screen - unlike the mistake UK has made by using the same red and white for breaking, round-up, info and alert.

There are actually several cables running from each camera. It's just a plastic casing used to keep them altogether which makes it look like one thick cable.
EDIT. And the above too I suppose!

It's not the cables that are thick. It's most likely a kind of fabric around the cable (the exact name of this escapes me) which stops the cameras from running over the cables and causing wonky and shaky camera shots.
Its not the proper term for it, but if you've ever seen those Cable Tidy things that you can buy from JML and what not for £4.99, its the same sort of idea, only designed to be stepped on, rolled over and generally abused.
