i don't think that's true - somebody has their wires crossed somewhere.

It is quite odd how they have all these (relatively) high profile presenters working weekends now.

Hmm... not sure it's THAT odd. That is when the best ratings come in.

Take a look at the top ten shows on Sky News for the last week in 2006.

So, in fact only one show out of the ten was a weekday one. Pretty worrying, really. Makes you wonder why they bother putting the effort in.

The thing about ratings is that they are so inaccurate with small numbers so it's difficult to really know. I'd heard that Lunchtime Live was one of the most watched parts of the relaunch.

Don't forget that many newsrooms around the country have Sky News on 24/7 and they have 200+ journalists all sitting there watching it. It doesn't take this into account. Some newsrooms are switching to News24, but Sky does still dominate.

It was quite strange when I visited BBC News online a few months ago, most of the journos had Sky News on!

IIRC, this was the weekend of Saddam Hussein's execution so that why 9 out of the 10 are on the weekend.

Also the share for this week is bad for Sky News as the gap between News 24 and Sky News gets bigger:

Sky are going backwards for some reason. Im sure if they just implement the pace again with the high profile, good , and popular presenters it will be back on track to success again.

So if this were to be true, Charlotte Hawkins would be shunted to a news roundup or somethng, wouldn't she?

Yeah, maybe something like on Saturday Live with the news round-ups at the newswall pod.

This I don't understand...News 24 is still like wading through treacle!

Some lass called Sasha Qadri doing overnight tonight. I don't like the letter Q not being followed by a U, but maybe that's just me.

Glad Sky News Sunrise have got its VO back. At the 7am TOTH the JIB slowly panned upto the balcony and the the vo played.

OMG ,Sunrise is really Eamonn Holmes show, Charlotte is only doing news round up and her name isn't even in the voice over. This is terrible,just doesn't make sense. Bring Lorna back.
