How many times are Sky intending to show this programme about the bloody whale?* Admittedly I quite enjoyed it the first time (despite the fact the aspect ratio was completely stuffed up) but there's been at least one incidence where they've abandoned a significant story (Morecambe Bay helicopter) to run the whale VT instead.

(* Rhetorical - its been scheduled 18 times between 16 Dec and New Year's Day)

Not sure if this is old news, but is that a new newswall animation they are using today? Looks better than the squares, it's a bit like the break stings and coming up menus, with a red line on a blue background.

Yeah, its been around for a while now. There was a cap posted a few pages back.

Also, I can't remember it being mentioned but apparently Charlotte Hawkins in joining Sky News soon.

Maybe that should read rejoining, as IIRC she has already worked for them?

Sunrise was Martin Popplewell and Faye Barker.

With Alec Wilkinson who appears to have carried the sport all day [at least until 5 anyhow]

I notice the text on the ticker is now all in upper case - as News 24.

Yes, before the relaunch, but I dont think they had ever used upper case since.
