They are coping very well, I have to say.

That's their job isn't it?

Yes, it is. It would be interesting to throw you into a newsroom though and see how you do!

Dear Rod,

Whilst I am delighted that your career has progressed so far since the halcyon days of the RTS Sh.its and Giggles Neteowork, perhaps you could drop the smug and superior tone?

I would have had made the same comment whether I be the King of Persia or the person who wipes the excrement off his shoes. Where I work doesn't come into it, but many thanks for the kind words.

It really is a glorious day for burying bad news isn't it. Quite enjoyed that five minutes into Lord Steven's delivering his long awaited report, the Government decide to announce the closure of 2,500 Post Offices.

Oh, and didn't Blair get interviewed by the Police?

This pretty much sum's it up from the Guido blog...

I think Emma was very good this afternoon dealing with all the breaking news.

Was it me or did Sky just have the safe areas marked out over an interview from Westminster?

Been there and done that, spent some time working in a newsroom for one of the big organisations. Can't say I enjoyed it much in the end but I certainly coped with it.

Even better, I'm sure you were a valuable asset.

Absolutely. She is just getting better and better and seems to have god connectivity with the viewer.

Anyone remember the incident when she and Gaisford were caught munching on Chocolate Cookies between VT's?

Technical problem on Sky just a second ago. The press review guests kept talking while a sky news logo covered the screen. Gillian interrupted after about 30 seconds and went to an ad.

On the subject of Sunrise not having a VO, why dont they just use this type of shot using the jib, and then just have the VO over it?
