I actually quite like that - you would never get the big guns of the bbc presenting on christmas morning - regardless of her motives.I think though, that a lot of ordinary viewers without any kind of journalistic insight actually do quite like her, remember the fact that her Lunchtime Live has presented one of the few areas in a rise in audience figures mut speak for something.
I sat down and watched sunrise this morning - and the big table really doesn't look to bad - on the wide shots. It actually looked really ood with four people round it just now as the Ashes 2nd test result came through.
EDIT: I like the way you use ritual, as if it some kind of decadent torture.

There is a new PDF on the Sky News Press Office website called "Sky News Centre" and it gives two floor maps of the new news centre, telling you where everything is.

Only joking...
By the way - a minor piece of trvia, I found the viewing figures for the transatlantic terror plot back in July? or August. Sky absolutely hammered the BBC with 540,000 viewers to 270,000ish.
Just goes to prove they've still got it.

Didn't mean ritual in the torture sense!! I think Kay is quite good, actually.

I was watching a video I captured from the first 9am TOTH with Martin, Anna and Anna. I want that style back. I want the three hours of 'News, Comment and Debate' back... I want the globe on the newswall back, I want that style of TOTH, at the newswall back. But sky's mistake was to have it all day. Just 9-12 would be good. Then Lunchtime live. Please, bring SNT back to its fantastic presentation.

Totally agree, while I was on the Viewers Blog on the Sky News website, I was reading the comments and nearly every post said that Sky is becoming like a "blue version of N24" and that the newswall should be used more often etc.
I hope with all the comments they do go back to that style.
As gregmc said, they dont even use the "Three hours of live comment and debate" line.
One thing I am glad about though, Lunchtime Live has kept its TOTH's good, still using the stairs!

They were all around the studio today at Lunchtime live. The new newswall background looks ok, but I prefer the globe... bring it back.
