Whilst I do like these changes, I can't help but feel I preferred the look of the channel when it relaunched last year. The globe graphics looked fresh and everything tied in well together, now it all looks a bit disjointed.
And I'm still not keen on Colin Brazier doing both Sky News Today shows. Much as I like him, personally, I don't feel he is suited to this slot, he's too slow. Sky News Today is starting to feel more like Snooze 24.

Its horrible! Sky News Au's weather alert ticker scrolls far to fast and its hard on the eyes... this looks a similar speed!

That definitely seems faster than normal and must have happened today. I certainly didn't notice it during Sunrise, but then again I only ever look at the screen to see the time in the morning.

I completely agree with you, and yes it is beginning to get remarkably like news 24. Sometimes I'd just give anything to be able to take control of the channel for a day, and just do things my way, at least then I'd know whether what i think would work or whether it would just be crap.

I still would have liked the globe to be incorporated more. I think this is probably the end of that

Wow the new coming up animation looks great, just saw one with the promotion of its website before flipping over to whats next. The music that accompanied it's great too. I like the feel of it, not too American yet retaining the British style to it.

Interesting to see that, despite the move of Chris Roberts and Mark Longhurst to weekends, it's Emma Crosby who seems to be being promoted as the face of the weekend on Sky News. She's prerecorded a few interviews recently, which have been pretty heavily trailed before being shown. Good move, in my eyes, she really is a great presenter.
Can't help but wonder if there'll be any more changes soon, what with all the new coming up stuff, and the top of the hour sequence changing. They seem to be gradually changing things, this new guy in charge seems to want to make his mark.

Hear! Hear! Emma Crosby is indeed very capable.
