I liked that on Live at Five, as Anna was talking about the CCTV story 4 images of Anna around the studio came up, one from behind the desk one from the balcony one from the side of the desk and another from the newsroom. No Jeremy Thompson tonight though, who will present Sky News at 6 & 7 with Anna then?

Clever. Nice of them to do these sort of things now and again.

Newsnight used an almost identical idea, with a CCTV style grainy image zooming in on Paxman as the programme started.

Yes indeed, that was an innovative piece of camera work featuring Anna Botting. Splendidly done.

IIRC, Anna presented the next two bulletins solo, as did Jeremy the night before.

It's a strange thing on Sky News - programmes normally presented by two anchors often go out with only one! Really don't know why.

And, is it a permanent feature to have Colin Brazier on all day long??

No Sky News Ireland on the air at the moment or at 10pm.

Does this mean the service closed before the 30th November??

I note that Mr. Holmes's new USA game show has been axed after just one episode. It's a good thing he's an excellent and well-loved anchor on Sunrise then! At least he has that to fall back on.

It's called THE RICH LIST. Although, he had a massive exercise in winning ratings, as it was pitched head to head with the much watched "LOST".

Loved Adam Boulton's spat with HRH Tony Blair yesterday during the monthly Press Conference at Downing Street. Blair's responses were priceless, although he made the wise choice of underlining the whole thing with a joke, thus avoiding further criticism in the wider media.

Don't know if any of you have visited Martin Popplewell's website (image above courtesy of martinpopplewell.com), but there is a feature on the site entitled Martin's Showreel. This depicts some of the man's greatest and good broadcasting feats over the last several years.

Admittedly, there is a bit of cheese in there too, but, on the other hand, there are a couple of excellent interviews where Popplewell actually belies his youth and leaves a few experienced interviewees floundering in the water!

Credit where it's due - Martin, I know you read along here - your site is a good 'un. And your onscreen work is highly credible too. (Nice foto, by the way....)
