Ugh, the recorded bulletins with Miranda Schunke this morning are absolutely awful. Why can't she do them live like Lukwesa Burak and Orla Chennaoui have the past few days (I didn't see who it was last night), instead of playing out the same hour where she stumbles over her words? Also they are using the emails segment from Sky World News in this hour, and cutting her off at the end of the paper review.
And why does the Bruce Hammel voicover say it's "live" when it blatantly isn't - they should have a version of the voiceover that just says "from the Sky News Centre".
It took me until tonight to notice that there is a version of the countdown without the time on it - this one says "Next" and has an image from the top story (which I don't think works as well as the presenter) - though they have also used one with the clock on it into a recorded hour in the past.
By the way, I don't just sit and watch Sky News every night, but often have it on in the background as I do other things if there's nothing else worth watching on.

To be fair, its more diverse than that. They have
This is
then for example have a range of things
Sky News
Sunrise
Lunchtime Live
+ presenters names and some place names. They just piece them up for each toth.
As its recorded on the broadcast, they wouldnt beable to go over the V/O.

They do have recordings of "From The Sky News Centre" "This is Sky News" and "Sky News with XXXXX & XXXXX"
I think Mark and Paula work really well on Sunrise!

I know that, I was just pointing out the other start offs for intro apart from "Live from the Sky News Centre, this is Sky News, with Jeremy Thompson and Anna Botting"
instead of that its "Sky News, With Jeremy Thompson and Anna Botting" anf for one presenter its now "This is Sky News with XXXXXXX XXXXX"
I have a few examples here after the australian ones... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pZfx5X6c4aU

AFAIK they only record bulletins when work's taking place on the studio, which has to take place
sometime
. Crewing Millbank would presumably be prohibitively expensive, and there isn't really anywhere else at Osterley to do it from.

You dont get much sadder than that , unless you want to be another one of those lesbian surrogates.....
Juliette Foster, the ex newsreader on sky , did well on the talent show All Star Talent Show on Channel Five tonight. I hope she gets some better work than this in the future.
Come on the BBC get Juliette on , you can do a lot better than no talents like Numpty Kantthinksky who is f-cking up the BBC news single handed.

I have to agree. I find it quite bizarre that none of the majors have snapped up Juliette yet. She is an excellent presenter to have on board.

What is it about Peter Spencer??? He looks like he is living in the sixties, with his very unique dress sense!
Steve Dixon and Emma Crosby are a formidable pairing on Sky News Today (or whatever is's called: Staurday Live??)

Peter Spencer is eccentric [or seems to be !], and known for his bright pink classic Mercedes around the politics world....
and Mark Longhurst/Charlie Thomas should stick to the day job.....Monty Python sketches were rather er....
