I caught a bit of Sky at various points today - have to concur with most of you in the preceding pages: Colin Brazier seems to be on air continuously! Is this deliberate or is it all part of an interim reshuffle?

Paula Middlehurst is good on News at Six with JT. She is very versatile.

Though I certainly don't miss the three presenter format or James Rubin, Sky News has just gone back to it's boring old safe self which really didn't work for me before the relaunch.


The schedule seems all over the place again with the same presenters on for hours and things being shown when they can be bothered (notably CBS News).


Although it offered little competition ratings wise, I wonder how the closure of the ITV News channel has affected their presentational decisions now they only have to compete with the BBC's behind the desk format!


It may be the news that's the important thing, but I think one thing the quiz channels have shown is how personality can make so much of a difference, so maybe it is the presenter that should be at the centre of things.


Certainly to me Jeremy Thompson seems far less authoritive now he's partnered with a blonde on Live at Five than when he was the sole anchor. Now it's just another hour on Sky News.


And I've said before that Sky Report didn't deserve the axe - it was just badly scheduled against C4 News. They should have given it a chance in the 9pm slot, with Martin Stanford's programme airing from 7pm.

Is the new type music used at the toth for the headlines and while 'god' speaks?

Its when at as I have already said, at xx:57 the presenter says whats coming up in the next hour, then its the weather, then toth , headlines.

he still does Live at 5 by himself. He is partnered "with a blonde" from 6-8pm.

It was about 8am when I said that! I was ready for school and had watched Lost before hand!

Im now in 25c heat at 10.40am and its hot! but thats got nothing to with sky news... anyway... i like the news from the globe!!
