It looks like they have a new music. Confused: Confused:

They didn't change the main opening music, but they have a new one used in the ''coming up'' segments. The music is simillar to the new TOTH.

oh how I wish it would go back to something like the triple headed presentation of the original relaunch. Its so drab and boring now. For all its faults, atleast we had a choice, straight news with N24 or something a little bit different and off the wall with sky news.

I also wish they brought back Ginny, for all her faults she wasn't too bad, and I resent the fact that apparently they weren't willing to give her a chance. She made rushing home from school worth while, after all you have to admitt she was kind of cute in a odd sort of way.

You are so right. I miss Ginny in the afternoons.

Its just a shame how much it has changed over a year. No more intresting shots, just the desk now. People did say it was taking the focus off news but how was it? Reporting the news on the stairs, at the elbow or at the newswall pod doesnt change a thing. If anything it was better, more intresting. A desk brings authority but so does standing next to a newswall. They dont even rotate the desk anymore. Its really just drab, because the desk just looks onto a few computer screens with no real movement of the newsroom, which although is nearby, is hardly seen. When the presenters were at the newswall you could see the newsroom etc. Also, I think eventually Sky News Today will be known as Sky News (which it nearly is now) and that Colin will present SNT morning and afternoon with the same female presenter, so they have the same presenters for SNT.

i agree that it's gotten a bit boring now. at the relaunch it was a bit over the top possibly, but all they needed to do was tidy it up and tweak it. not scrap the whole bloody lot.

and they should have given Ginny a chance as well, she was getting better. she did make a few mistakes but it was in an endearing sort of way lol. they should have let her get used to standard desk reading rather than being chucked in at the deep end reading the news from the stairs. not to mention she was really cute. Smile

my thoughts exactly... the only thing that bothers me though is that I've watched sky news for most of my short 16 years. i now have a choice between the BBC or staying and watch sky news gradually slipping...

Well, you can't please anyone. After relaunch people complained how over the top it was and that they should return to more desk based presenting. Now that they have, people are complaining they should return to the relaunch style. I mean it's not perfect at the moment but for gods sake what do you exactly want?

Well thats it people, less than a year after the relaunch Sky News have changed the music. The top stories bed has now changed to more TOTH based music. Bit of a shame after all that work with the music for the relaunch.

Ugh what have they done?

They've gone from something that was distinctive and powerful to something that just lacks...well anything.

Might be a bit better if they turned it up but still.
