What has happened to Mark Longhurst?

He's moved to Friday and weekend Sunrise.

Silly eh! I like Mark and never really get to watch him but now I can see him for an hour each Friday Saturday and Sunday!

Interesting to note that Sky News at 6 is using the desk position in front of the 'globe' that WNT used. Looks rather nice. Take it that it was used on Live at Five as well?

Another point - is their work going on at westminser? I saw a couple of guests and Adam Boulton with a rather dodgy backing of Westminster.

Been like that for a couple of weeks now. Used 6-8pm, L@5 has the desk in the usual position.

I know we all knew the weather was recorded overnight (and it gets a bit stupid when they are still talking about what the overnight weather will be after 5am), but it's really obvious tonight because they have been cutting Francis off mid-sentence for the last couple of hours.

Is Orla Chennaoui a Sky News Ireland presenter or is she normally based in London?

She's based in Belfast, does work for SNI, hasn't presented yet on SNI

Why is Colin Brazier on so much at the moment. I read on a different site that Sky news have had to make pay cuts and basically Colin is one of the cheaper presenters Smile

Sky are broadcasting the audio from Fox at the moment, after this breaking news story.

What's so ironic about this Murdoch game of musical presenter chairs is that one year ago Sky News Today am and pm enjoyed a total of six presenters and we were all told its unique, 12 months on one man is doing a double shift.
So the casualties of the Ryley revamp, Chris Roberts, Steve Dixon, Mark Longhurst and Martin Popplewell who is bound to have reduced shifts now as well.

i loved sky news but im not enjoying it so much now. I like Colin Brazier but having him on all day gets a bit boring. I liked it when Colin filled in on an evening and did the newspaper section as he was quite witty. He is certainly earning his wage at the moment!

I would also add Ginny and Juliette as the biggest casualties. These days I watch CNN more than Sky. I wish they had kept everything the same as it was a year ago (except the evening schedule).

Oh. Does that mean the good old days of programmes like Sky News Today having 3 presenters, walking around in the studio are gone? Shocked

I enjoyed the guest on Sunrise this morning who gave Holmes and Dunkley an exceedingly hard time in an interview on Iraq.

And, then followed by the next guest who told Holmes that he had baggy eyes!

And then Holmes putting his foot right in it by suggesting that football agents would be far better off being his agent, given that he (insinuated) earns much much more...........

Sky News Sunrise - what a strange old mediocre programme!
