The newswall is working fine as when Jon Desborough is reading the sports headlines the blue blackgorund of the gallery monitors is up.However I think it's time they maybe used the globe a bit more often as the newswall is quite boring with that horrendous Sky News logo they put up after all when they relaunched there was umpteen differnet presentation areas.

Just seen the toth then, and for a brief second, instead of it starting were it usually started, it started with a blurry shot of the upstairs.

Thats the new opening.

He knows that, he's just saying that it started off earlier than normal. I think. because the other day it showed lots of shots then about 6 seconds later themusic started.

I saw them use a blured newsroom image with the logo out of the weather back in to the headlines at about half past. I dont think it was a live shot but it looked better than the blue bars.

Jeremy Thompson obviously wasn't aware of the schooting at the McDonalds in Brixton, thinking that breaking news of arrests made was breaking news of the actual shooting, and Anna had to chip in and adlib for him.

Yes, I 've seen this, he was very confused and made several pauses. Then Anna chiped in,but she was confused as well. I think the globe background is great when they have 2 presenters, I didn't really like it on WNT.

I think Anna was confused by Jeremy, and it took her a little time to realise.

He presented his 8pm to 10pm slot and I am certain he was on the 10 with Gillian, maybe he needed to go early or just couldn't face another hour.

Definately strange that Colin Brazier is doing both Sky News Todays', and Faye Barker back on Sunrise...change in the air to mark the 1st anniversary of the relaunch?

New schedule needed, and fast. The random presenter schedule is getting to me. Not that I mind, I just find it stupid that Colin is on both SNT's for example.

Knowing me there'll be a mock schedule posted soon.

This is the new schedule (bar Sunrise pehaps) - Colin is now doing both editions of Sky News Today every day. Mark and Helen have moved to weekend sunrise and Emma is presenting weekends daytime (10-5 Sat, 12-5 Sun) with Chris and Steve alternating as her co-presenter.

All a money saving exercise, one would presume...

Martin's still in his usual slot but I presume that Allan's just going to be filling from now on...

So who is now the regular other Sunrise presenter? Hope it isn't Lorna thingy. She's awful.

On another note, saw that Paul Bromley was on the channel this afternoon as 'Viewers' Editor'. Not sure if that was his first outing.

Yea, I hoped Lorna would be better, after wishing her luck when she said goodbye from Westcountry television in Plympton. She was definately in her own class down here, but there just isn't that chemistry with Eamon or anyone else at Sky.

Paul Bromley was introuduced on the day, or day after the announcement of his position.

He promised to read every single e-mail... what you reckon? Wink

I don't know, Lorna worked quite well with Steve Dixon over the summer I found.
