"signing is only on active on satellite, in vision on freeview "
and what do you mean by that? i see it both on cable and on freeview on a saturday...
Oh well I didn't know about cable.
If you're watching on Sky Digital satellite, you don't get the signing - you have to press red and go into Active and it's there as one of the screens.
Singapore, 25 September 2006 – StarHub, Singapore’s largest pay-TV operator, revealed today its plans to launch five more new channels on 2 October 2006. These five channels – SKY NEWS, CHANNEL [V] INTERNATIONAL, FOXCRIME, Boomerang and National Geographic Wild, will be added to the Family Plus digital group at no extra cost.
Do we see the same titles as in the one with e clock or a different one considering its different time zones around the world?
You will most likely get the 4:3 international feed without a clock or ticker. Don't know if the "countdown" is on the international feed.
I don't know why they bother anyway since the presenters always do timechecks and there are programmes like Live at 5 and Sky News at Ten.
Just checked and the international version has the same countdown clock as on the UK feed. Presumably the length of Jo Wheeler's skirt is also the same on both versions. At least I assume it was a skirt.
BREAKING NEWS
SKY NEWS WINS INTERNATIONAL EMMY
AWARD FOR BREAKING NEWS
Wonder how long that will be there...
Indeed. They've won it for coverage of the London bombings. Isn't that when Sky was widely criticised for flashing up unconfirmed, and as it turned out, untrue information?
Sky News has announced the appointment of a Viewers' Editor to reflect viewers' comments and opinions sent to Sky News through emails and texts.
Former political correspondent Paul Bromley takes up the new on-air role and will give a human face to viewers' contributions.
Paul’s brief will include collating and sorting all viewer correspondence, acting like a newspaper’s letters page editor; identifying potential interviewees, including webcam contributors; developing news angles; and deciding which contributions to broadcast. Paul will appear on Sky News to reflect the range of viewers’ opinions on important running stories. He will also write a weekly article for the Sky News website (sky.com/news) to highlight viewers' sentiments.
Does this just mean something like, comments on news storiees.
Or - options on eg. Graphics, News Presentation, etc..?

Oh dear.
Just what we need- more views from the joe bloggs 'hang 'em and flog 'em" brigade.
i just assumed it was opinions on the news, but come to think of it views on the actual channel would be good. if they actually allowed it... lol
it'll be about 'opinions' on the news stories - they did something like this on Live at 5 straight after the relaunch where some producer came on and read out the comments from Jeremy's weblog. TV really has become obsessed with 'interactivity' lately.
