I spotted a new-look Technofile today - it seems to be a bit more in the vein of Click, presented by Martin Stanford CSOed in front of an almost-white backdrop (despite Saturday Live being with Mark Longhurst today).

I thought I saw Chris Roberts there this morning, with Mark presenting Sunrise with Helen Fospero.

Strange to see the random presenter schedules at the moment, it's quite annoying really- if a presenters off they should get a cover presenter in to cover for them, instead of a cover presenter covering for a normal presenter who switches shifts.

If that makes any sense.

It's still nice to see some more presenters on, particularly Faye Barker who appeared last night.

Who said that they are covering? Razz

They're not in their usual shifts....

Are you sure? Razz

Oooh...so are you saying that Chris is the new Sat Live host, and Mark is moving to weekend Sunrise?

Saturday Live to be no more, are they revamping the weekend schedule soon?
Would be good to see it a bit more organized.
I presume the toth change, and this rumour of a upcoming weekend change is all down to the new boss. Well hes doing well...so far!

they just need to ditch the blue lines background thingy, and when they go into a break - how about one based on the old globe look? or anything really just something else, current thing looks crappy. and they should also get rid of the sign language bloke on a saturday - looks awful. surely that's what subtitles are for? Rolling Eyes

on the whole they are slowly but surely making good progress. plus we've got the website revamp coming soon as well i think.

the sign language is terrible, not the man or anything...just the way the screen goes on a slant.
Im looking foward to the new website, it seems like they are focousing on that alot rather than just changing colours, layout etc.
The blue lines are something else, I dont mind them using it on the desk but that on the newswall is terrible. If you see the whole newswall with that on you see its absoloutly pointless, the left of it is just blue.
The mock by bail ( http://www.lazyorange.net/junk/sky.jpg ) looks so much better by just changing the colours.
And going into breaks has been something terrible from the start, the whoosh is just not enough, they must have been stings, but why not use them.

That mock of bails is horrible no offence, but the blue is just wrong. As for going to break with swoosh, I like it. Over here they just play the end of the headline bed. see how here.... http://www.nztvpres.justthathost.com/videos/06-SNA-COMINGUP.wmv

Oh yes, Sky News is finally in Singapore.

Quote:
Singapore, 25 September 2006 – StarHub, Singapore’s largest pay-TV operator, revealed today its plans to launch five more new channels on 2 October 2006. These five channels – SKY NEWS, CHANNEL [V] INTERNATIONAL, FOXCRIME, Boomerang and National Geographic Wild, will be added to the Family Plus digital group at no extra cost.

Do we see the same titles as in the one with e clock or a different one considering its different time zones around the world?

I like Bail's mock. It's certainly better than the current effort.

I would prefer them to use the animated globe background again. Why did they change it again?

yeah the mock up is miles better than what they have now. if they're not gonna change it back to some sort of globe one like they had before, then at least change the colours.

"signing is only on active on satellite, in vision on freeview "

and what do you mean by that? i see it both on cable and on freeview on a saturday...
