Caps?!?

You've already asked Damian. Do you think that more punctuation symbols will make it happen any faster?

They did this with the last set of graphics didn't they. Ditching the blue and going for the red and white colours on all straps.

There also getting very lazy during summarising the top stories, instead of the actual headline they have
Top Stories
sky.com/news

What has that got to do with top stories!!

for me the sky.com/news strap is just as bad as the dreaded active banner.

and using the red and white straps while not so bad are a bit pointless...

the normal ones are better for normal use and are calmer. save the breaking news ones, for when news breaks...

The red in the graphics usually grab my attention.

Not any more it seems...

Know that feeling. Turning on Sky News these days I see red & instantly think Breaking News. But now its like breaking news isnt as important anymore =/

I hate the constant use of the red for the Middle East Crisis.I would nearly think that they could of had a special graphic set by now for it, something like the Iraq war graphics? And the caps for locations is just very very awful IMO!

To be honest, I feel Sky has really just felt like giving up
Firstly, the astons are not used right anymore. Its all red & white and none of the original are onscreen. Same with the capitals for locations. It looks unprofessional
Secondly, so much for the gigantic news center!
In october, SNToday started by the newswall, and one or two presenter stayed there, one went to the middle part of the studio and either one or two of the presnters went to the desk. Something along those lines anyway!
Then before the removal of the Sky Report and the presenter reshuffling, they started to use the middle part [the elbow I thought I heard it being called before], now with only two presenters. Now, they are just at the desk. With the horrid looking Sky News animation [the blue with the bars] all over the place, and no branding of the programmes. Everything is just SKY NEWS, no more Sky News Today, and sometimes you don't even hear "From The Sky News Centre"

Seriosuly, I think in terms or presentation, they are just going downhill rapidly

i do agree with you Sky NewsIreland things have been let go on the presentation front but Martin Stanford's show makes use of the newswall and the pod so at least it is still getting used but as you say every programme should be making full use of the news centre.

Yep I'll second all that too. For all its faults, Sky News was still incredibly watchable when it relaunched last year, and the graphics were consistent and fresh-looking. I'm not sure exactly what has changed lately, but the channel doesn't flow as well, and becomes boring a lot quicker.

I for one miss Sky News Today AM, with Martin and the 2 Annas. Chris Roberts doesn't suit the slot at all, he seems half the time as if he doesn't want to be there.

I can't for the life of me figure out why they've started this thing with astons for the presenters' names as well - we got God telling us who's on, and then a strap saying the same thing. I don't understand why they thought it necessary.

Fox News taking Sky News this morning, who break the news that the US terror alert has been raised before Fox News does!
