It's a shame that the studio cam only lasted for a week or two - haven't seen it on Active for ages.

It is a shame
I never even seen it! [Away From Home]

Its a shame they wont bring in the studio camera even for during the daytime. One Sky News Active screen is occupied by the Sky Active video. A waste of space I feel.
What would be more interesting would be a live feed from the crane [or jib camera...cant remeber the name for it]...so even when its not being used. Just would seem more interesting then an ordinary studio camera.

Talking of interesting use of cameras, did anyone else see this just after 9pm?

Sorry for the poor capture. I only got it by accident.

Yeah I did. I was a bit confused when the camera panned away from the presenter to the autocue.

I watched a bit of Martin's show tonight. More of this Your View stuff, but the main thing is this presentation, they keep going in and out of different bumpers, looks poor. No consistency anymore.

Well something must be right ... Martin has just mentioned that his show is the highest rated in primetime!

A bit old Sky News Today style with the news summary followed by the sting.

Just spotted Kay Burley in the audience of Braniac on Sky One. (and my brother)

I am probably the only person on earth who preferred the gravitas of Rubin's programme over the current fluffy Martin Stanford programme. (despite the formers lack of presentation skills).

If you listen carefully, you can hear someone shouting in the clip. They shout something at the start (probably "pan left") and then when the camera goes straight past Martin Stanford you hear them shout "Stop".

Anna Botting is now out in the field (Jerusalem). She is good anchoring from location. Last time I saw that was during the Pope's death last year.

M.Popplewell is tonight on M.Stanford's show, and he's also been on Live@5.

I actually liked the programme, but think that the presenter should have been someone different. i also don't think the time slot works so well on Sky News. So they should either have reduced it to 30 mins at 20:30 or wacked it up to 23:00. I do like Martin Stanford's programme though. It is easily digested, metaphorically speaking.

Nice to see Steve Gaisford back presenting the news.
It was a strange presenting schedule today, I've seen Lucy Alexander at 7 o'clock with Anna in Jerusalem, although Martin was already there. I was expecting to see two of them on Sky News @10 but now it's Steve & Gillien, which is better.
