I actually had the pleasure of meeting Martin once at a Reach For The Sky event in Sheffield. He was a really nice bloke, with a genuine interest in the news and current affairs he broadcasts. He gave us a talk on getting into the industry, and from the sounds of it he has worked hard to get where he is. I always thought on screen he looked a bit funny, his eyes are set far back in his head nd when i first saw him on tv i thought he might have been blind. Needless to say in real life he looked quite ordinary lol

Well after watching Sky News with Martin Stanford I can say that this is a great change and an excellent program. It had a lot of talks and debate and viewers were part of it,which is great and different. New stings and graphics are refreshing and I love the ending with the studio shot and music.
Sky News at 10 also has this new graphic that I posted and I think Gillien will be better with Martin because she now has a partner who actually talks to her and makes contact.

I think that's possibly my favourite quote of the year.

May be funny but it's what I thought too!

without wanting to tempt fate by saying this, isn't it all much nicer now there's some consistency in the rota's - rather than the random free for all which the situation had previously desended to.
