Good god! I haven't watched Sky News at the weekend for ages, so when you were all talking about the "press red" banner I thought it was a lot of fuss over a little caption in the top right hand corner. I hadn't for a moment thought it would be something so hideous and intrusive. Switched over after a couple of minutes.

Good to see they seem to have changed their definition of Breaking News. Instead of flagging up every live event as that, we have better descriptions... currently we have the red and white strap with "Terror Alert System Latest" on the red bar.

Saying that, I tuned in at about 2am last night and "Italy Wins World Cup" was still "World Cup Breaking News". Tut.

The description of Martin's new show on the Sky News website is a bit more detailed now. It boasts discussions of "taboo" topics, stuff like that. I give it 2 months until it's back to pure rolling news.

Its already been mentioned several times, that Julie returns late summer/autumn time.

Edit: The new camera shots remind me of those used on SNT in the Julie and Martin era

kind of a dodgy, wobbly shot at six with jeremy and anna i thought, seemed to pan all wrong.

Yeah, the camera went left-right, but it's great to see Jeremy and Anna back together. This slot really needed someone next to Jeremy.

i agree - although why she isnt there from five baffles me. maybe she's busy or something lol

I think they want to leave Live at 5 exclusively to Jeremy.

Yes, I have emailed them and asked that question. They are great together.

We just need Bob Friend back for News at Ten now, and Sky News will feel good again

Its like the old sky news. It almost makes the set look refreshed. Its nice seeing these new/alternative sweeping shots and things.
