OK, I am getting over Ginny's departure, but I 'm still sorry they didn't give her a chance ( weekends or even overnight), but here is my comment on the new line up.
I don't like the fact that they are seperating Martin S. and Anna Jones. They were one of the best couples and I think they should move Anna with him.I don't think her and Chris will work good, couse he is, just like his current partner, too wooden. Also why are they leavin Gillien in her time slot? Put Paula or anyone else there and it would be better.Gillian is perfect for overnight where she can be on her own.
I 'm glad they are leaving Eamon and Lorna and reuniting Jeremy and Anna Botting, but I'm not sure about Mark and Julie.
Is Julie returning on Monday?

Julie is likely to return on the 10th July or thereafter...

I'm quite pleased that Martin Stanford has got the evening shift.
I think he's probably the only one that could make a change to the evening slot.. He's proved time and time again that he's the utter best at Sky News and can handle any situation...

It'll be nice to see parts of 'Saturday Live' spread over the weeknights...

It's a shame Sky can't reunite Kay and Mark, although I suppose this could be due to Kay's new role at Five News.

few points:

why does JT do live at 5 on his own, and six with Anna? why not the duo for both? surely that'd be better.

and Gillian, while a nice person, seems to lack any personality at all which is why I think they should have kept Ginny and got rid of Gillian, say put her on at nights or overnight or something.

Also hopefully we still see plenty of Paula M, she's great.

And when's Anjali coming back? Razz

I guess they want to keep the 5pm hour distinctive, not least because of the competition with Huw Edwards on N24.

I know, and I miss her on Sky!

Maybe the point about Huw being on in the same slot is why they've done it, but surely you'd think Both of them would be an even more appealing alternative. Anyway not a big issue really, just a bit curious.

I've never rated Paula; style over substance.
Bit like Emma, who I think they could do without.

Anna Jones was on Lunchtime Live and is now on SNT. Was she on SNT AM with Martin or was there someone else?

Martin was alone, at times joined by Tim Marshall.

Farewell to the Sky Report
One final thought tonight... as some of you may have heard there are to be some changes to the programme schedules at Sky News. That means the Sky Report won't be around for too much longer. From July the 10th, I'll be on from 6pm to 8pm with Jeremy Thompson. It's been great to work on such a different show, one that Sky News has never before produced. The hand-picked producers are all a joy to work with and will go on to other things within Sky News. Do hope you've enjoyed watching over the last 9 months or so, it's been our pleasure.

See you at 7.

Best Wishes

I think that it is possible that Juliette parted company due to a fall out.
There seems to be speculation on another site about this, and I think that this is a good deduction of events.
While I will freely admit that she was never a star presenter. Juliette was dependable and solid, and handled many big breaking stories very well.
These measures are definately not going to resurrect SKY News' viewing figures. There are deep rooted problems at Grant Way; booting journalists and changing a schedule is not the answer to all their problems.
I suggest that the problem is with those in charge of the channel and the 2005 relaunch.

Which other site?

May I be the first to start speculation that there will be a new TOTH come 10.07.06? (Unless someone else has mentioned it)

yeah any more details on the fall out?

and why do you think there'll be a new top of the hour sequence?

As long as it's better than the current one I don't mind, but the curent one is very good I reckon.
