Cant help but to compare Sky News AU with Sky News UK. Its a huge difference! Confused

Sky News AU looks worse then Sky News Ireland Shocked

No it doesnt. we just need some colour.

The set compared to the UK one, is well not to the same high standard, it reminds me off the old old Sky News UK set!

Well, after an excellent Standford, Jones, Botting edition of SNT AM last week, we are once again this week back to having only two presenters, namely Helen Fospero and Martin S. Whereby I like both, the inconsistency of 2 anchors / 3 anchors / 2 anchors / 1 anchor really amazes me.

Additionally, a rather bizarre and awkward opening to the (2 anchor presented) PM edition of SNT today as well. Mark Longhurst and Juliette Foster opened the programme from the Starbucks circular table at the newswall. Normally, one of the anchors would then move to the next podium and continue with the main stories, or failing that, the presenter remaining at the newswall would do so.

Not today - Juliette Foster walked all the way back to the newsdesk, fought with a swivelling chair, eventually got into it, and SHE from that position, carried the main stories.

Very strange and disjointed.

What's going on at Sky News at the moment? They've got a static info bar at the bottom of the screen (ie no ticker) with the Sky News logo on it but then the clock has been stuck over the Sky News logo, so it looks a right mess.

Thomas Crosbie Holdings reporting that Grainne Seoige has left Sky News to go to RTÉ...

http://www.breakingnews.ie/2006/05/04/story257227.html

Well, she's worked for every other Irish news service, so that she would join RTÉ at some stage was not a surprise. But wonder what this means for the future of SNI...

The ticker's off at the moment. Just the logo and the clock.

I never watch Sky News at this time so I apologise if this is normal. Smile

Normally the ticker is on 24/7 (except for during CBS News). Someone earlier on in the thread said, the ticker was off during the 9am hour. I think they're probably testing the ticker for tonight's Local Election coverage.

The text disappeared at 8:57 it then came back in it's normal state around 9.20 am although it disappeared during World News Tonight, don't know if it's still on now though.
