Its irrelevant who was on Sunrise

What's your problem? What's not relevant to you, maye well be to someone else. Grow up, be sensible or just go away.

I doubt you guys ever will, but why don't you move away from the interest of who's appearing on which block of airtime, who's standing in for who, etc ..
One or two presenters may have negotiated consistency / make themselves unavailable but it is a rolling operation where people are obviously shuffled and slotted into a rota.

I wouldn't imagine Sky have much if any editorial interest in why and when person A appears with person B, so why do you ??

I can understand why this forum gives a platform for discussing television presentation, but surely speculating and commenting on rota patterns is just banale and pointless ?

Why don't you P!** off... this is what this place if for and why these members are here.. i suggest you find another forum far away to deplore there.

Well, all fernando's time at sky news must have demoralised him and taken away his sense of humour.

But I do agree in one aspect, Sky News is turning into TV Forum's ITV News Channel thread. all we need is Brekkie Boy posting endless rotas now and bingo.

...and on that note, i'll report that while yesterday Anna Botting was covering on Live at 5, today she is covering for Kay Burley. I wonder who'll pop up at 5pm, then?

Yes, my years involved with Sky News have indeed left me bitter and twisted, that's a fact.
However I just don't understand why many of you feel the need to post 'something' rather than just face that there is very little of any interest to discuss.

Don't get me started, Luke !

Suffice to say, with the disclaimer that my views are not necessarily representative of my former colleagues .. well, not all of them anyway ...
Also bear in mind I have never had any interest in rolling news or sport, especially so with the advent of increasing gimmickery and questionable tabloid news values ....
I was just a vision-mixer doing a job ...

Sky is a stressful, sullen place in general, especially so in News.
The work is fiendishly repetitive and boring.
The technical staff are treated like robots, not human beings.
Some of the gallery producers are next to useless. Others just plain rude.
The old gallery was cramped, dirty and poorly air conditioned.
Some of the gallery directors are too bored or incapable to direct clearly.
Some of the gallery directors think they're directing an epic.

All the above grate when you're stuck doing a difficult but tedious job for either 3, 4 or 5 hours at a stretch.

That's a concise summary !

Oh dear, Steve Dixon's embarrassing himself with his attempts at being an expert structural engineer.

On the plus side, at least Ginny's been quiet for about 5 minutes.

They keep trying and trying with that live Skycopter shot but it's constantly breaking up, possibly due to the weather, (give it up!!) and instead going back to recorded shots and still image slideshow.

Did they have a camera crew when that officer gave out some information earlier?
