Indeed he does, usually at 4am and 5am on a weekday morning when he's on an overnight shift. The overnight presenters will do Sky World News at those times as well. They use the same backdrop as World News Tonight.
Incidentally, on most promos that I have seen recently for World News Tonight, they seem to have changed the name. Now it's just Sky World News with James Rubin.

Also Martin Popplewell did Sky World News Tonight, with all the headlines and v/o done in 25sec; and the best thimng about that, it shows what a cock up Rubin makes every...er...single.........er..night. No doubt he was having his coaching at the time! Another small note, during the v/o you normally get 'Live from the Sky News centre, this is sky World News Tonight with James Rubin', well last night with MP we only got 'This is Sky World News with Martin Popplewell'. Does anybody know whether they recorded this episode, although i have to say I didn't think that there was World News on a Saturday morning. On the other had it could always b because Popplewell has and does present World News.

Three things
a) I often watch the 5am edition as I have to leave the house early quite a lot. I didn't know however whether they had started recording Friday's edition to repeat Saturday, Sunday morning etc. I've noticed the promos too, and this is what initially lead me to believe that they had started recording.
b) Perhaps somebody from sky could answer this, or anybody with experience. Why are there so many adverts? I know that this is not exactly prime-time and all but why after the headlines and v/o must they then have a break, then a story, and a break, then a story.
c) Also they've got two cameras each on either end of the news-wall, why not use these to accompany some of the voice overs? I saw that they used this angle once for a Sunday afternoon edition (back when Simmonds was with King for a bit). I know they also used the angle for the first edition of Live at Five, when doing the blog thing, and SNTpm continue to use one angle for passing between the podium and the elbow.

Ive created this website, its like a tv news show. Its not completed as yet, but will be fully up Monday

Ive emailed Sky News about it, wondering if they will put the format into a show.

slinden? I'm sure I've seen that before as a username that has been banned on here. And anyway, the website's rubbish. Why Sky's programmers would listen to YOU when they're paid to come up with GOOD ideas is not the point, more to the point is the content of that website and how cliched it is.
Now get banned and get away!
