A nice change for TOTH Sunrise I see.

Go to top headline, like a weekend TOTH, and then Have a nice wide shot, moving around Lorna and Steve, they say "Good morning this is sunrise on Friday 7th Of April.. blah blah" they also make a comment on the top story, and then go throuh the other stories like a normal TOTH.

Nice nice very nice change! Surprised

Don't know why they aren't saying 'Digital Satellite' rather than 'Sky Satellite'.
Maybe it's because they think any mention of the word 'digital' will cause confusion even though 'Digital Satellite' is correct.

Maybe its because Sky News Active will only work on Sky Satellite, i.e. a Sky Digibox.

Yes, I noticed that earlier... also when I saw the Sky News Today TOTH at 9am.... it took Alan King to walk from the pod to the shoebox area thing in the same time it takes Eamonn to waddle over to the other pod which is only a few steps away.

Or it could just be to promote themselves. Come on of course they are going to promote their service being available on their caompany SKY. They are hardly going to use a general term such as digital satelite, however correct it is, because that could mean any satellite service.

As for the new toth it has was brought in after the bird flu case in Scotland, we will have to wait and see whether they decide to keep it. I would still prefer them to do what snt used to do, i.e. healdines then v/o then coming up, then news update.

Oh yes, of course, quite right. I was forgetting that 'digital satellite' can of course mean any digital receiver capable of receiving the channel, rather than specific functionality

Yep it only works on a Sky Digital dodgybox as it has the openTV software, my FTA box dosen't see Active, only the mosiac screens and I can switch between them.

Do we know if with the reporter reshuffle, Colin Brazier has moved from reporting for the Sky Report to relief presenting. Hes on now with Helen Fospero, which suprised me because Allan King did Saturday Live and I assumed that he would stay on to do SNT with Helen. If this is the case does anybody know whether he (King) did Sunrise.

I've also just remembered that Colin did SNTnite with Juliette, and very good they were too (although I only saw SN@10).

Also Martin Popplewell did Sky World News Tonight, with all the headlines and v/o done in 25sec; and the best thimng about that, it shows what a cock up Rubin makes every...er...single.........er..night. No doubt he was having his coaching at the time! Another small note, during the v/o you normally get 'Live from the Sky News centre, this is sky World News Tonight with James Rubin', well last night with MP we only got 'This is Sky World News with Martin Popplewell'. Does anybody know whether they recorded this episode, although i have to say I didn't think that there was World News on a Saturday morning. On the other had it could always b because Popplewell has and does present World News.

Allan did Sunrise with Lucy Alexander. Very Happy Very Happy
I think Colin is very good especially last night with Juliette Foster.
Anything is better than Chris and Gillien, they are the most boring presenting couple on Sky.

Yes, Allan King indeed did do Sunrise as ginnyfan notes above, and it was interesting to see that he simply removed his tie to present the Saturday Show!!

Juliette and Colin were good together too, I must admit.

ginnyfan, are you really a ginnyfan? And if so, why? LOL Wink

Yes I love Ginny Buckley. I know many people on this forum don't like her because of the mistakes she makes and I'll admit that she is not the greatest presenter but she is still new and has a lot to learn from her colleagues. I like her presenting style ,the way she looks at the camera and moves across the studio. She is a breath of fresh air to Sky News and works good with Steve and Mark. It's always interesting to watch her couse there is a possibility she 'll do something wrong and I find all these things about her very cute.
Well I could write more, but these are the main reasons why I'm a ginnyfan. Who is your favourite presenter? Very Happy Very Happy

I guess it makes her more natural and "real", if you know what I mean. She will get there in the end........don't worry.

My favourite presenter (on Sky News) is Juliette Foster. Sublime.
