Just wandered past a telly with Sky News on. Did my eyes deceive me, or is the Press Red banner back again? Evil or Very Mad

Yes, it was back on SNT for the Deepcut verdict.

Kay's off today and Anna Jones is doing Lunchtime Live... I think she's excellent (never seen her presenting on her own before), definitely my favourite of the recent signings. She really comes across as being likeable and knowledgable.

Most of the forumers tend to disagree with that, but I like her too!

I'm not Anna's biggest fan by a long shot, but she's a lot better than Kay on Lunchtime Live.

Other observations, Grainne was excellent all week, although I think she finally felt comfortable on Sunrise today. Faye was on SNT again and Allan did both SNL's!

Watching the telly
I've always found Sky News a bit too cliched, especially now with the huge set and that giant screen.

He did indeed present tonight's Sky Report, not normally that I watch the programme, but was surprised when it came on and he was presenting.

Though the massive Press Red for active strap still keeps on appearing, but not consistenly, still a pain in the arse either way.

I went up to Sky Centre last night and took some quick photos of the old Sky News Centre...

The Newsroom is a bit of a dump!

The studio lights may be off but no doubt you'll be able to work out what's what.

Do you have any idea what they're doing with it?

Very lucky indeed Greg.

I know Sky Sports were bidding for Studio 2 (old Sky Centre) Im not sure if the bidding has finished and been finalised though.

I'm supprised more hasnt gone thats of Sky News' belongings. What are all those tall book case things. They werent in the old studio.

Well the man I was going around with is a producer for Sky Sports News so he didn't know much about the Sky News studio but he did say something about partition walls going up. He also said something about the cost of the old newswall, up to 10 grand each block at the time of buying... and there were 30+ there. Seems alot to go to waste. I also noticed that the old Sky News Centre is not that much bigger than Sky Sports Centre so I really doubt that they would be bidding for it. And if they do bid for it, it would be becuase of the newswall.

I was unable to go in to the new Sky News Centre but I do have to say, the delay of the launch becuase of sound problems from planes overhead would of been justified as by the looks of it as it's almost directly under the flight parth for Heatrow unlike the old studios, just a 25 second walk away.
