I've gotta say, both Eamon and Grainne didn't look very pleased to be there this morning when I was watching. The whole show was very downbeat... usually the top of the hour is very chummy and cheerful, but it was downright miserable today, and there wasn't really any news that warranted such a drastic change in tone.
Slag Eamon off as much as you like, but you've got to admit him and Lorna have great chemistry when they're both on, it's a lot better to watch first thing in the morning.

I think id rather wake up to Kirsty Lang than Eamonn.
Re the comments on Eamonn;
I think he's a waste of money and space.
Is it true that he isn't allowed to attempt to cover breaking news? He never seems to do any. If so, what an inexcusable waste of money employing him on a news channel.
As for chemistry between him and Lorna ... I don't see anything special. Lorna may be an able journalist and technical presenter but comes over as a bit of a robot with forced 'reactions'.
Eamonn has far better 'chemistry' with sports reader Jacquie (sp?).

agreed with that. I've never sensed any chemistry between the two of them either - and have always found Lorna pretty false and patronising.
i wonder what the ratings for Sunrise are this month compared to last year? any change would be minimal i would think.
Luke, you're the only one here who comes close to understanding my ... ahem ... grounded ... ahem ... observations.
Let's shack up together and create a brighter tomorrow.
Chris Roberts seems to suit the Sky Report, where is Anna?
I quite like the flow of the programme, but they need to sort out the darker corners of the studio. Chris was standing in shadows for alot of tonight's links.
Kay's off today and Anna Jones is doing Lunchtime Live... I think she's excellent (never seen her presenting on her own before), definitely my favourite of the recent signings. She really comes across as being likeable and knowledgable.
Was also good to see Charlie Stayt yesterday. I'm presuming, however, he's freelancing and not going to be a permanent face on the channel, purely because we've not seen him do the overnight shift where they tend to stick people first for a bit to get them used to things. I might be wrong though!

Most of the forumers tend to disagree with that, but I like her too!
