Don't know if they did this all day, but on Sunrise the Oscars News was sponsored.
They did the top of the hour headlines at 8am, then the bloke who isn't Eamonn Holmes said something like "Now, the Oscars News" - and we cut to a sting and we had all the Oscars news, including Amanda Byram on the red carpet, then another sponsor sting and on to the main news.
Occured over the weekend too. The blokeis Steve Gaisford.
[/QUOTE]With the greatest respect, Johnnie, it mystifies me how someone who RUNS A TV PRES SITE can consistently post caps that are in the wrong aspect ratio!
Can't you SEE that it doesn't look right?! Or do you actually watch telly with the picture looking like that?

I believe may site now uses the right image ratio.
The images i post on here are quickly capped and uploaded. I didn't think it'd matter, but if it does, then i've no problem uploading correct ratio images in the future.
Sky get the most out of their presenters, don't they? A few observations from the last couple of days:
Paula Middlehurst did Sunrise on Sunday morning with Allan King. Allan then remained on air for most of the day, co-hosting with various other presenters, just as he did last week.
Paula Middlehurst came back on screen to co-anchor the primetime evening slot with Martin Popplewell. Paula M and Allan K must be very tired!!!
Allan King then turned up on SNT on Monday too!
The sports presenter doing Sunrise yesterday (a female, foto capped a few pages before. Georgie maybe???) was also on screen for most of yesterday too, right through the morning and afternoon, it seemed.
Kay Burley's live interview yesterday with a "close friend" of Rt. Hon. Tessa Jowel was really something to watch!! Kay Burley and the interviewee (another MP) just stopped short of having a real on screen spat, and growled at each other all the way through!! Amazing stuff.
Grainne on Sunrise yesterday - quite good, but IMO some of the banter with the correspondent at the Oscars revealed a slight lack of experience on Grainne's part, rather school-girlish smutty stuff. But, she is a good presenter generally.
SNT PM segment yesterday: Juliette Foster, Martin Popplewell and Ginny Buckley. GB seemed to be the lead anchor on this particular programme yesterday. But, I am sorry to say this, her handling of Breaking News (a few items cropped up yesterday) is still appalling, even after all this time. What became very apparent is that she finds it difficult to speak to the viewer whilst being fed earpiece instructions at the same time, and elected not to speak until she had received each piece of instruction down the line before conveying it to us. First time I have ever seen anyone doing this........am sure JF or MP would have handled it better.
Helen Fospero on SNT AM - amazing. Excellent presence on screen and handles the programme very well.

... not forgetting doing the overnight now ...
I think it's disgraceful how their 'secondary' presenters get treated. Pushed from pillar to post with no regard for their health and sleep patterns.
Saw Eamonn on Davina last night. He had the usual dig at GMTV, but missed a prime opportunity to plug Sunrise. All that was mentioned was that he had to "get up at quarter to 4 for Sky).
