Don't get me wrong - it does mostly look good - very fresh and modern... but to me the content doesn't come up to the same standard.
It's only been on a few hours!
I haven't noticed anything that I think is worse than before. Sunrise was leagues ahead of its previous incarnation, and Sky News Today is as good as ever. I was a bit taken aback by the presenter interaction at first (a bit too much of it, and quite forced, I thought) but it works quite well having seen it a few times, and keeps you watching.
Well, I only managed to get a glimpse of half an hour this morning during Sunrise. I missed the TOTH, so I suppose I'll have to wait until this evening sometime.
My first thought? "Those white straps are vile!" Weirdly, the graphics seem to look better on Bail's captures than they did on my TV (and before you ask, I have a nice widescreen telly and yes, it is set up properly - nothing was cut off). On the plus side, I agree that the ticker looks like it actually belongs now and has not just been slapped on. The breaking news strap does look as if it's been lifted from N24 - but then, some might say fair is fair!
Agree entirely with Moz - there seemed to be far too much sport! I know I only saw half an hour, but most of that seemed to be taken up with bloody football stories! I understand - and agree with - that Sunrise has gone back to its more relaxed roots, but if I wanted that much sports news in the morning..well, they've got an entire channel for that purpose. Maybe it was just a reflection of a quiet news day? Still, a run through of the headlines before a break wouldn't have gone amiss. A ticker is no replacement for that.
Lastly, what I saw of Eamonn and Lorna was great - I think I'll enjoy seeing more of them in the future.

Yeah ok, fair enough, and it has been a slow news day so far. I think it's simply that "chat" between the presenters (that makes me want to throw up) which makes me think of Fox News and therefore puts me in very negative form.
Just worth pointing out, if someone hasn't already, that the new website doesn't work at all with Safari on Mac. Ironic, considering a screenshot of it was posted here the other day in Safari!
I think Sky News' new look was worth the wait. I am very pleased and satisfied with it. Opening titles are dramatic and fresh. The graphics have been kept plain but look 'clean'. Sadly, I slept in this morning so I'll have to see Eamonn in his prime another morning. Having said that, Martin and the two Annas are brilliant together over on Sky News Today - 3 presenters for these shifts are a good idea. It works well with Anna B and Anna J going over to the newsdesk while Martin rounds up the days top stories. The studio is amazing - its so big! Sky really have hit N24 hard, its so obvious they're going to loose ratings big time especially with programmes like The Sky Report and World News Tonight airing tonight!

Live from the Sky News Centre, Sky News Today with Martin Stanford, Anna Botting and Anna Jones!
Hope sky sort the website out for Safari!
The chat between presenters is interesting- i assume as they settle in to the new format they will find the right ammount of chat and it will become less forced. Afterall we're only a few hours in to sky presenters doing it. I dobt it will go as far as Fox...i hope not.

There are captures (video in full) of almost every TOTH so far in this thread. (see the first page for a list)
