I caught a rare glimpse of Sky News Sunrise on Monday and laughed when Jacqui put him in his place. He was going on like a knowledgable pundit when she kept saying 'no that is wrong'. Perhaps she'll handbag him sooner rather than later! In saying that - it was not as entertaining as see my lot get ready in the morning. The joys of a non domestic goddess!!

Sky News Sunrise is great. Watching Launa giggle as Eammon struggles over to the desk... especialy in the first week of the relaunch, where he had to walk to the desk, than just the pod near it.

Eammon just looks so out of place on Sunrise, not sure what it is, but I think it just doesn't "gel" at all.

For starters he just doesn't look happy or interested. He just doesn't seem to want to be there. Lorna is clearly the lead on Sunrise even though Eammon is a household name.

I think it's not what Eammon expected.

For me, Steve Dixon does a much better job and should have got the gig from day one. Having Eammon there has not pulled in the viewers they expected...not sure how much longer he will last.


Now "Live at Five" what mess that is.....having Martin there this past couple of weeks has proved to me that it's not the presenters, but the programme format - it's just wrong.

So true. I cracked myself up watching him woddle up from the screen and then appear out of breathe. I know I shouldn't laugh but you can't help it. Bit like whenever Tasha opens her gob.

Anyway, after watching SN for a few days now I have to agree

I completly agree. Steve and Lorna broke the news of the London Bombs, and they took it in their stride, great pairing for Sunrise... could be the new Jullie and Martin

Does anyone else think they need to refresh TOTH, im sick of seing that gorrilla long haired man standing by the newswall every toth.

I did hear a rumour that during this month the pan around the studio will be replaced by a globe themed opening
If this was true...I would love one that could incorperate a change of the location of which the globe is looking at...such as For Sunrise a pan acorss europe with the sun rising...For world news tonight it would move around the area of which the main story is based on (ie. US would pan acorss the americas...Iraq would be around the mid-east)

I just think that would look very well since the globe graphics they use now are pretty good looking and made into a proper working ident would be brilliant!

Are the rumours true though?

I have an image posted here before the relaunch of the globe whcih I sometimes incorperate into my mocks and it doesnt seem to be of anywhere...just clouds sea mountains and occasionl land

But i suppose would people really pay attention to such minor details as "o look there is china" or something? I doubt it

She is at ease. She is confident. Chris does not look down on her, like I think he does on Gillian.

Yep I heard the title sequence would change from time to time... well they better hurry up...im sure that piece of paper being passed is getting a wee bit tatty now
