Is Lisa Aziz still on Sky News? She has always been one of my favourite newsreaders, even way back in the days of TV-AM.

Kay seems to be the only 'old hand' left at Sky News now. Whenever I turn on it is full of midly irritating presenters who have difficulties reading the news. I take it Vivian is gone as well?

James Rubin may not be a good autocue reader, but I do think World News Tonight is a great asset to Sky News. Sending him to Davos was a good idea, he got an exclusive with the Pakistani President tonight, and says to expect more. Im sure he could try for an interview with Bill Clinton, that would make headlines.

James was actually very good in Davos this evening. I was actually thinking tonight with Tim in the studio and James on location, how good it would be if they both presented WNT together?!

Yeah I like that idea

I always felt James was more at home when interviewing but when reading the autocue it was just like I-AM-A-RO-BOT

Mabey this is where he could use his "behind the scenes analyasis from my [Rubin] days as a Clinton offical"

Do you honestly think that people who work in a 24 hour newsroom, where they could be in shot anywhere they go, give a **** about calling their mates to show them they're on TV.
You'd be surprised.

I still think WNT is brilliant, with some fantastic reports. Maybe keeping Rubin on location would be a good idea, he seems much more at home there.

Why was James standing so far away from his guests - strange.....

He did seem at home in Davos, although he did complain about the weather quite often! At the end of the programme Tim asked him a question and he seemed totally confident answering, more at home than reading from an autocue. He would make a good world affairs analyst / roving interviewer and correpsondent.

Do we still have no idea what has happened to the old Sky News presenters who have left within the last year? I'm thinking of Sheila Jansen, Vivien Creegor, Gordon Radleigh and the like. David Foster is off to Al Jazeera of course, currently enjoying a very extended gardening leave I would imagine.
