Who presented WNT yesterday? Chances are, Rubin's just taking an extended holiday. It appears Sky value him.

Yeah - how long has it been since Tim presented? Did he have a regular slot in the late nineties? Nice to see he's lost none of the entertaining gravitas.

And oh yes - reinstate Cat or this forum's lost one of the main reasons for reading it.

There was no WNT yesterday - it was the dual-headed Sky News Tonight format from 8

Still pathetic compared to The World over on BBC World/BBC Four with Brian Hanrahan - how can anyone even try and compete with that in quality terms. The fact that they left minor news like that US mine problem to halfway through the bulletin shows that they know their priorities.

Strange, from what I saw of the morning and early afternoon, Sky seemed to have returned to normal schedule...

Was there a new Sky News animation on the newswall today?

The Sky News logo was on a blue background with the 'coming up' blue bars moving across it (obvisouly without 'coming up'). The logo then moved along the newswall.

Looked quite nice! I saw it when Kay threw to the sport.

They had that during Sunrise this morning. Looks better than the globe.

Hmm yeh, I like the newswall graphics they use on the Sky Report. With bars moving over the picture with a box with a smaller picture in. Ive yet to see the new graphic though. From what you say it sounds similar.

Tim Marshall is on World News Tonight, just starting but he looks good. Is this permanent? There is a voice over recorded for him, and as I have not seen him present for years, maybe Rubin has gone.

Tim's just said that Rubin's back tomorrow

Don't like the new newswall graphic at all, looks like something they would of used years ago but with the old logo!

how odd - at about 5 past 4 the clock suddenly flicked back to 1:05. the ticker also flicked to display a different part of the cycle at the same time.

At that time of day sky news is recorded. The ticker/clock you caught a glimpse of was from the bulletin that they were rebroadcasting.

Si!
