Re: Sky News Ireland - making it available on a more high profile channel makes some sense, but replacing Malcolm in the Middle - especially when it's the second episode of a double bill, meaning Irish viewers will get every other episode of the series.
Q: Do Sky viewers in NI get Sky News Ireland, and likewise for Freeview/Cable?
This might have just been me but the ticker speed seems to have slowed down. Flicked over at just after 10pm and it didn't seem to be moving as fast as it was before.
I think the graphics have been moved up slightly as well from the bottom of the screen; on my parents widescreen TV before (with huge overscan area, take note) the ticker was half-chopped off. Turn on today and the whole ticker's there. Dangerously close to the overscan cut-off area mind but wholely legible now.

No. We get the same version as you do. To get the Irish version would mean all the advert telephone numbers were wrong, and prices in Euros.
(Mastercard's ad's on Channel 4 NI have been, for years, the Irish versions, with prices in Euros and an RoI freephone number that doesn't work in NI).
Why is Sky's breakfiller so disjointed? I mean, it is a terrifc breakfiller - extremely powerful music and wonderful graphics - but it keeps stopping, than starts again until the presenter suddenly pops up...
I thought the breakfiller music was a speed up version of the current toth bed? I wouldnt think its that powerful, seeing that its been sped up a bit.
I saw the titles for the Year in Review, they are not too shabby, the music at the very start is from the orhecsteral toth bed and then it goes into the ident. Very nice.

Yas... correct. It sounds a bit bunged togetehr, as the join is covered up by some audio from a clip or something I think...
