And again even the start of the budget coverage was a complete disaster with no audio from the glass box and Adam starting to speak before the sting appeared. It is just so unbelievable.

Quite a bit of miscaptioning on the channel today.

The best one was just now when the Chancellor Philip Hammond was captioned as Paul Johnson, Head of the IFS.

Sky has debuted a new homepage design at skynews.com. The site is now using a template that Sky Sports have been using for a little while already.

The channel's TOTH has not been updated to reflect the change, however, meaning that now, not only does the site mock-up have non-existent categories such as 'Trump' and 'Brexit', it now of a completely different design altogether.

Wonder if we'll see this updated in the next few days or (hopefully!) the whole TOTH sequence reviewed to give the channel some of the gravitas we used to see in previous TOTH sequences.

It looks very much out of place now, since the front page is of a different design to the rest of the site.

Having the more drop-down and just one entry, of weather, is silly, may as well just have weather there - also noticeable the front page doesn't have a search function where the rest of the site does.

Doesn't the TOTH also feature the old iPad app timeline? Fairly sure that's been retired for at least a year now, so if they're relaxed about that, don't see why they would care about the website template being wrong either.

It's sad... feels like they've given up on the TV channel, though the Budget graphics (not those shown above) were pretty nice.

I always wondered how they did it at the TOTH and the BBC did the animations of an article online, one a tablet and on a iPhone variation.

Not exactly sure how content aimed at kids will fit in to a rolling news channel but at least it shows them trying something different.

Not a new concept - the BBC had Newsround 24 back in the day.
WW
WW Update
And Nickelodeon in the U.S. had Nick News Specials, in which children would pose questions to politicians (including Bill Clinton) and other newsmakers.

It's something else for them to heavily rotate, especially at weekends.
