I'm yet to be impressed by the new studio, but look forward to seeing how it's fully utilised with Sarah-Jane and Sunrise later on this morning.

Just as well, thank God. Sky think that the Press Preview warrants a breaking news strap in the ticker. You'd have Breaking News scrolling in the background from 8.30pm onwards...

Though it's very hard to judge the studio from what we've seen, Sunrise should really give a better idea of what it looks like - don't mind the look of it too much though from the close-up shot.

Anyway, here is the Midnight launch of the new studio:

Geeez. You need a microscope to notice these timid "changes". The average viewer wont notice a bit of difference in microscopic kerning or spacing changes on a lower third, as it looks virtually identical to the previous ones. So whats the point of that. The opens are virtually the same....music same. Presentation from the new basic studio boring and locked down. Not even a slow zoom from slight wide. Geez. Certainly not the creatively leading channel from yesteryear.

Get ready for endless hours of this shot. {crickets}

Already out of date. The Independent is online only and the Guardian just changed it's logo.

The Independent still produce a front page for their daily tablet edition, which I believe is shown.

First positive they are using the full height of the wall for sunrise instead of that awful strip in the middle used overnight

Just looks like a virtual version of the glass box so far with the view behind looking like sky central but I do like it
