The glass box looks awesome from that outside shot, they should use it more often. The automatic cameras going up/down etc is very futuristic like the BBC's news studio.
It is very nice. I think the glass box is now much better than launch day when there was no blue/red background lighting and harsh white lighting in the main area.

There's also touches of purple lighting, namely under the desk and around the bottom of the screen.
Can only hope they've fixed the desk so it can go down to coffee table height for the Press Preview!

Indeed - it all helps - it was too bright at night before, now they've got it just about right. I wonder if they will just use that kind of lighting in the evening but in the day use the brighter lighting?
Press Preview is being changed a bit according to what Max Preston of Sky News said on Twitter - if it's with a more relaxed feel that would be excellent.
It didn't. it used to just slide on with the text going off the screen on a random story.
I do quite like it restarting as id rather see the top story than the contact us details or sport stories
Still sending it into yellow "News Alert" mode to promote the press preview, though, which has always struck me as inappropriate.
As I said a couple of months back I just don't see the point in doing it - Anyone who has watched within the last 5+ years knows they do the papers at 22:30 and they mention it just before the strap comes on anyway most nights. For me I just ignore it these days so I'm more likely to miss any breaking news they put on the strap at the same time.
The Press Preview looks quite lovely in the glass box with the warm orange/red lighting and the new look for it on the big screen (Newspaper logos on the left side of the screen, the rest as normal).
It looks much better for the changes - particularly with the new lighting.

Positives
I like the new graphics on the screen to display the papers, adding those coloured squares down the side makes it less boring and I like the animation when swiping through the front pages.
I like that they go full screen so we get a chance to read some of the larger text.
The lighting is much better but I still stand by the view that the desk lowered to coffee table height would go a long way to make it all look less formal.
