Did SkyNews set up a partnership to share content. SkyNews Tech Team have been in DC and New York rewiring some of their connectivity - on ABC premises.

So much Blackmagic kit...

Not watched the Press Preview or late night output for a while. The warm lighting makes the 'glass box' look so much better nowadays.

Royal wedding graphics have debuted, very neat and smart like always on Sky:

They have clearly signed some sort of agreement.

ABC correspondent doing a live on Sky tonight from Hawaii, and ABC now cross-publishing Sky News content online:

https://abcnews.go.com/GMA/Food/staff-windsor-castle-make-final-preparations-royal-wedding/story?id=55143716

Would make sense to get it all in place before the Royal Wedding.

I suppose the longevity of this is somewhat dependent upon the outcome of the Fox/Comcast/Disney saga.

If Sky end up with Comcast, presumably the ABC agreement would have to come to an end. Sky would then be in the unusual situation of having had a relationship with CBS, ABC, and NBC in the space of 18 months ....!

Sky have changed their live stream on the website from Youtube to some custom player.. Im finding it poorer quality sadly.

EDIT: Just thinking.. its probably for their 'whos who' Wedding feature.

I think the straps are a bit plain and boring but I like all the use of the confetti on the promo's, wipes or sky news logo

They are using some special music today

Both the studio locations look impressive

Studios are looking great. Only negative, the tv screen in the Kay burley studio is quite small. Not that it really matters.. the view says it all.
watchingtv and Gibsy gave kudos

Yes, it has Dolby Atmos. Should be very effective for the crowd noise and the actual service.

“We’re incredibly excited to be the first and only broadcaster to televise a Royal Wedding in UHD and to offer those watching the ceremony across the country expert analysis, innovative technology and bespoke coverage on mobile.”

Seems it's Sky only.

Not what I've heard... Sky may be using a very narrow definition of 'broadcaster' and 'televise' to ignore iPlayer?

(AIUI the BBC are running an iPlayer UHD HDR trial this year, and The Royal Wedding was an event listed as likely to be part o the trial)

I checked the iPlayer and it was still playing an old football demo, so Sky were correct.
