Issues at 1am overnight this morning too where Nick Quraishi introduced a package from Mark Austin on Trump-Syria for a completely unrelated package to play out in full then Nick stumbling back announcing but the Mark Austin report never appeared at all.
As a follow up from Thursday's problems with The Pledge, it hasn't been repeated in its usual 00:00-01:00 Saturday morning slot.
I wonder if there's a problem with the recording?
Oh well, an extra 30 mins of live news. What a pity!

its been an odd hour. they had the news until half past then the sport which got cut off for an advert they then played the press preview again without an advert break. back to Anna Jones live with the weather, reminder of the top stories and some breaking news before finishing with some news in brief
and Anna returns live at 1am. I wonder if we will see senior presenters on overnight for the next few days
Most news organisations have been expecting something to kick off in Syria in the past few days, and given it'd be US-led it was likely to be off-peak for the UK. So it's a good move to have someone experienced on just in case where possible.

On the whole I've been impressed with the coverage of the events overnight. They have had a few sound problems where people have been talking in silence such as the start of sunrise where most of Adam's intro was mute but 4 times now I've heard them say President Trump announced the action shortly after 1am UK time that's simply not true it was at 2am UK time. They should be getting basic facts like that correct. I'm guessing someone has typed it in to the script and nobody has questioned it
I wonder what the rights agreement is with that track? It was one of the original Sky Digital EPG music tracks, and there must be a reason it's still clinging on as breakdown music too.
