Hasnt CNNi won it a few times? I think.

Yup! AJE has certainly been nominated as well.

AJE won it in 2012, the year of the Arab Spring (though if they hadn't have won it that year then when would they? )

How can they do an award for news channel of the year? It’s a toss up between them and BBC. Has it ever gone to AJE, RT or any of the others?

Oh, I thought it was domestic.
We don't get CNN domestic in the UK so difficult to give it an award

That was good Naz just got cut off for the TOTH break whilst doing the weather
Does anyone feel it adds anything to the coverage to put the weather presenter on the Sky Studios roof? They have been doing it all week and it just seems pointless to me.
Another glitchy TOTH at 7am and Gillian Joseph is now presenting from York

It gives viewers a sense of 'We've got it worse than you!'.

I never really understood why the BBC used to do the weather from their roof in the morning. If it's a nice location then fine, but not west London. There's probably even less in osterley to see

Twice now in 2 hours they have messed up the weather at the end of the hour. There seems to be a never ending stream of errors these days.
What are peoples thoughts on that weather warning graphic they show with the symbols on it? I find it quite hard to read. first you need to find the bit for your area then you have to look at the symbol which randomly appears in 1 of 3 columns, work out what the symbol actually means and look at what colour the square is for the severity of the warning and usually they take it off before you have time to do all that. if your area has more than 1 symbol in its row then good luck having time to look at those. I think it would look better if it just said snow, ice, wind. rain etc. For example they have a symbol with a snowflake but also have a cloud with snow so what do they actually mean, what's the difference? it can't mean its light or heavy snow as they were both on the same line for 1 area.
They have managed to mess up every single weather update since I started watching at 6am
It must be incredibly frustrating for them to be having all these constant issues. I'm not criticising the people but this new automated system just doesn't work properly

I mean channels geared to the domestic U.K. audience - basically Sky and BBC News.

Sorry I thought you meant CNN domestic.
I suspect that for a channel to win it has to be at least partially based in the UK. AJE, RT and CNN all produce some of the channels from London
