Are Millbank shows still produced from there using their own gallery rather than the new one or has this been changed in the last few days to use the new automation as well?

The reason being it seems that the glitches that were not happening at Millbank since the relaunch are happening there as well now (example at 10am TOTH)

I don't know, all I know is that those glitches happen so often these days that I wouldn't call them glitches anymore. I have hardly seen more than 5 minutes without a wrong wipe or sound problems in the last few weeks.

I dread to think what people would think of itv back in the 70s and 80s

A lot of technical issues today, with Kay saying "It's been quite a day at Sky Central", just a moment ago going to the ad-break, Kay was cut off and it went to a wide shot of the glassbox for about 20 seconds, with just Kay waving in the background. The 6pm TOTH didn't start up probably either.

The five minutes either side of 6pm were not the best, that's for sure!

Kay looked bewildered go into the break as to what was going on and then at the failed TOTH I got the sense she was ad-libbing as well, then she goes to a two way with Lucy Cotter full of sound interference in Millbank.

Some of the live at-the-scene reports have had poor audio, I've noticed. The volume of the reporter's microphone can be very low and traffic noise can sometimes drown out what they're saying.

World View is a whack a glitch tonight.

It started without any Title Card with just Dominic in the Studio, then the usual opening headlines VT clips, music and graphics started for two pieces before abruptly stopping and cutting to Dominic sans music who then appeared to continue the rest of the headlines bed looking at the camera minus vt/graphics/music followed by a title card.

Then the headline bed music started again, the headline bed graphics and different clips started to play before going back to Dominic again who was talking about North Korea and a graphic about robots popped up, for which Dominic apologized.

How is he defining Sky News - would the closure necessarily of the channel mean the end of Sky News itself. Could it continue without the 24/7 news channel and be a major player in the online and app market, with potentially on demand content and possibly updates or even bulletins on other Sky channels?

Maybe including something radically different in terms of style (and cost!), but with a continued focus on video content that could be put onto a 24/7 channel almost as a by-product - like Bloomberg's TicToc or (less radically) the late Huff Post Live. So "reinventing 24/7 rolling news for a connected world" or some such spin as a way to axe much of the cost while retaining the channel and much of the cachet.

I love the bin taped to the underside of the desk with black tape on Kays left side. I guess they ran out of white tape. She probably whinged about not have a place to dump old scripts. Ehh. Would have a been a interesting studio had they branded the view across the way. Maybe video banners running along the balconies across the way. Or did something other than add those white light boxes. What a waste.

That’s a bit surprising that no storage was put in place. I think most anchor desk have drawers or compartments for paper, pens, the persons makeup kit.
