Just goes to show how blocky the picture is even in supposed 'HD'.

What was they talking about, LEGO?

They should have made a Sky News logo, that would have been impressive.

They have also recently reduced from 2 permanently leased transponders to just 1 for their satellite OBs. Though these are becoming more and more over 3G/4G anyway.

Is this why the feeds are now SR 5000 instead of 10000?

Aye, can squeeze the same amount in but at half the bitrate

I’m not well versed in the technical aspects of how transponders work. I understand they are all different bands but could Sky change that transponder to work solely in for IP data and internet? I’m wondering if they could save money and increase the number of shots handled if they reconfigured it to support the use of LiveU or Dejero over satellite in conjunction with cellular.

Good views of the new newsroom and new gallery here that hasn't been seen before.

That gallery would make an excellent backdrop.

Noticed something: OLD D.O.G and old logo on a computer screen

That would be such a great background for the main presenter shot.

Looks like the black ticker has crashed for the last 15 mins behind the breaking ticker. those weather symbols which have the top and bottom of the box sticking out when the breaking ticker is over it are static across the screen

I posted this example previously but if you didn't see it then its basically that just not moving

They seem to have already stopped using the wide shot in week 3 of the new studio. It feels odd without it when handing over to the big screen.

Are Millbank shows still produced from there using their own gallery rather than the new one or has this been changed in the last few days to use the new automation as well?

The reason being it seems that the glitches that were not happening at Millbank since the relaunch are happening there as well now (example at 10am TOTH)
