Was looking on Behance earlier and found this, which is from when Sophy Ridge on Sunday launched. It features some of the concept designs, and also a set design which never ended up being used which is quite interesting!

Yes - that is millbank. It's a shame, they could've made use of all the pres positions at millbank. E.g the big screen/desk with the three screens at the back, the desk and that area

I was going to say it looked like Millbank - I remember reading that there was much talk about SROS was going to come from there but then was changed to the Glass Box. Did anyone notice the spelling mistake on the screen in those mocks? Smile

Looking at that picture, it all looks rather small, especially when you think how many presentation areas were fitted into that space back in 2005.

Overall I'm not a massive fan of VR, but like has been said it adds an element of flexibility. It's not quite right when viewing for some reason. ITV News have it spot on, but it has taken them a few attempts to get it right.

The glass box seems much better than before with the change of lighting. I love the wide shots of the box. It's a shame that they cannot use other areas of Sky's central for segments, the promo space beneath the box would be ideal, though doubt that it's technically possible.

Wasn’t that the desk that could be turned 360 degrees ?

Yes. So can the glass box desk, but they don’t use that feature any more

The old studio looks different with all the red and blue and white set lighting switched off but all the other lighting in the workspaces around it turned on.

No - that was the election Desk that was put in just ahead of the 2017 election.

This was the desk before that which could be rotated fully

Never liked that desk, looks so cheap and tacky. The original one was great.

I used to enjoy how the original desk would sometimes rotate on-screen whilst the presenter was going to sit down during the TOTH, completely unnecessarily.

If only I could find that clip from last year where Adam was sitting down and then started to introduce something and got up to stand next to the screen - can't find it now but it was not something you see everyday - I remember some funny comments on here about it.

No World View tonight. Has the show already been axed?

Strange as I'm sure they showed Dominic Waghorn in a studio (perhaps the new one) earlier in the evening commenting on an international story.

EDIT - Found it on Youtube at about 1930 -

A new Dominic Waghorn? This is just change for change's sake! The viewers won't even notice, what's the point?!
