Would this type of ad flown (no pun intended) under Murdoch’s reign?

When the blimp was mentioned earlier I thought it was in passing not this. But I love it.

I suspect it would have been. I like the ad (or is it a promo ?) too

Thought the studio looked dreadful for the 9pm hour, wondered what all the fuss was about.

However at 10pm the different lighting, and the background is pretty nice, the darker blues and the lack terribly unrealistic looking VR elements used on Sunrise makes that studio look better than I've seen before.

I never thought I'd have anything good to say about this studio, but I completely agree. Personally, I think they should move the 21:00-00:00 shift into studio 6 permanently and return Sunrise to the glass box.

NBC News played the ad during a package on Nightly News when discussing some of the controversy. They quickly said “Sky News an NBC partner” in almost a dropped voice and spoken faster than normal.

I've been watching Sky News since its launch in 1989 and I've never seen one. They've done satirical political promos, but with balance.

Don't get me wrong, it's a brilliant promo, but it's politically biased.

I don't think it is. It's focussed of his absurd character rather than his political positions.

Sky News might have included the blimp in the promo, but Victoria Derbyshire has a smaller (but still very large) version of the blimp itself moored to the floor of the studio...

Does anyone have any screen grabs of what studio 6 looked like for News at 10 and Press Preview? Missed it and away now for a few days so won’t get chance to watch.

Kay seems to be opening and branding this afternoon's programmes as "Sky News Today" rather then her own TKBS

Perhaps it's being taken by international channels for Trump's visit?
