Welcome to the Sky News Thread on TV Forum

I no there is a thread for the new studio, but I think there should be one for general sky news. I noticed today that at 10.30, they showed the lightup sky news active sign above the studio. Does anyone know why it is there? That shot does give a lovely shot of the studio/news room though!

Was that really worth it, you got out Photoshop and started a new thread..... just to comment on a new sign at the back of the SKy News set?

No, i wanted to set up a general thread for sky news, like there is a BBC News 24 thread etc, and i dont think the sign is new. It was installed when the blue neon tubes and the re-vamp of the Sky news pod happened. Am i right

AFAIK, the sign happened ages ago. You're probably right to think it was around the time of the latest revamp.

Geeky knowledge alert: the pictures that Sky News are showing in their headline sequences of Tory MP Howard Flight shows him sitting in their news studio of 1989, with the little glass blocks behind him.

Mmm, i thought it was either BBC Breakfast News or Sky News in 1989 (one of the early sets) Has anyone seen this picture of the supposed "Sky News new studio"

There already is a general Sky News thread. It just hasn't been posted in for a few days and has slipped off the front page.
