its quite possible that the slot for that interview in the running order was almost up too and so they didn't have time to wait for the biscuit tin to be opened for her to resume

What a sentence to be written in a thread about Sky News presentation when read without any context.

Heard a top of the hour the other day where it sounded like 2 different pieces of music playing at once. It sounded a *little* like the Sky Sports News music was also playing under the Sky News headline bed, but I’m not 100% sure. Strange mistake to happen.

Inevitable - it's one thing to be a newspaper journalist, but being a presenter on a radio show that has a somewhat similar political remit is a step too far in terms of competition.

Shane we won’t see in particular Stig or Jenny Kleeman anymore as they were always good on the paper reviews.

The key I guess is who is on more if the now Times Radio presenters no longer appear.
I fear it may be the likes of Owen Jones, Brendan O’Neill, Isabel Oakeshott, the ‘Academy of Ideas’ lady, Tom Harwood etc that make up the shortfall.

I do feel for the Annas sometimes when they sometimes do have some of the more outrageous, ‘shock jock’ style of guests on.

They've really shot themselves in the foot here - replacing them with the likes of Owen Jones is a good way of losing viewers. I especially liked the Stig and Carole partnership.

At least we still have Andrew and Kevin on a Wednesday!

If they consider Times Radio a competitor, then what about Andrew Pierce's MailPlus podcast and LBC show?

Bizarre call by Sky to ditch the Coronavirus press conference in favour of the FBI press conference on Ghislaine Maxwell.

It's a surprising decision, Sky already have a good working relationship with Wireless with the sponsorship of the Chris Evans Breakfast Show on Virgin.

Considering Times now have their own newspaper review segment at 10.30 with Carole Walker, they see that as 'competition' for the same slot.

News editorial decisions (and the accountability for those decisions by the Sky News Board) have nothing to do with any branding or sponsorship decisions which Sky Media may have made with Wireless.

But you're absolutely about the newspaper review segment going up directly against the Press Preview.

LBC and LBC News both left it early too. Had to go to YouTube to watch the rest.

I’d love to see Alastair Stewart as a Newspaper Reviewer on Sky News (or any other channel for that matter).
